Backes and Toelke Planting The Fields

LAST WEEK Backes and Toelke planted the field just east of their offices as a test plot with different seed variations from Bayer. The reason for several test plots in the area is to test for the best yields of the various corn seed that can be delivered to area farmers next year. It is an ongoing process of testing each year to make improvements for yields and bug resistance. A few weeks later, they will be planting beans to also test for the best bean results.
