Connie Lee Rainey

Connie Lee Rainey (nee Hollomon) 83, of Tipton, Missouri (formerly of Hermann, Missouri), passed away on March 24, 2024.  She was born on July 10, 1940 in Miami, Oklahoma.

 

Connie was the definition of fun.  She was kind, friendly, generous, humorous, loving and caring.  Known for her excellent country cooking skills, she was an adoring mom and grandma, a cherished friend and a caregiver to many.  Connie loved spending time with her grandchildren, especially enjoying snow days, and summertime fun.  Her vibrant personality made her the life of every party and she was an exceptional conversationalist.

 

Connie is survived by her children: Kristine Rogers (Doug) of Tipton, Missouri, John Knudsen (Micki) of Hermann, Missouri, Stephanie Price (fiancé Jeff) of Niceville, Florida, Clint Knudsen (Melissa) of Seymour, Missouri and her stepchildren Debby Rainey of Reed Springs, Missouri, Susan Turpin (Bruce) also of Reed Springs, and Spike Rainey, of Medillin Columbia, South America.  She is survived by her grandchildren:  Everett Knudsen of Los Angeles, California, Dalton Knudsen (Sarah) of Fort Irwin, California, and her step grandchildren Dr. Farrah Thomas, of Cleveland, Ohio, Tiffany Seitz (Casey) of Nixa, Missouri, Sander Turpin of Taos, New Mexico, Molly Heiser (Dustin) of St. Louis, Missouri and several great grandchildren.  Connie is also survived by her sister, Beverly Sanders, nephews Randy and Ron Sanders and their families in Southeast Missouri along with niece Kelli Schnell and nephew Kent Knudsen and their families of Columbia, Missouri.

 

She is preceded in death by her husband, John Rainey, her parents, Clint and Dorothy Hollomon, her brother Jim Hollomon, a niece, Cathy Forrest, her brother-in-law, Milton Sanders, and her beloved granddaughter Natalie Knudsen.

 

Connie dedicated her life to raising and caring for her family and had a career in Jefferson City, Missouri working with Bill Gratz Real Estate and Central Missouri Professional Services, Inc.

 

A visitation will be held Wednesday, March 27, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home in Hermann, Missouri.  Funeral services will take place at the same location on Thursday, March 28, at 11:00 am, followed by burial at Oak Haven Memorial Gardens in Hermann, Missouri.

 

Expressions of sympathy may be sent in care of Connie's family to the funeral home.  Donations may be made to Hermann Food Pantry.
